Borsavage played basketball, baseball and football at Plymouth High School, and joined the U.S. Army after graduating. He remained stateside during World War 2, and played at Temple after the war. He signed  with the Warriors in June of 1950, and played with the Warriors for one season.

He taught and was also the first basketball coach at Council Rock HS. Also coaching soccer and bowling, Ike would be promoted to be the school's Athletic Director in 1965.

He married Patricia Hawman and they had four sons and one daughter.
