Not sure of his dates at Oklahoma because he does not appear on their all-time roster.

Lewis attended SW Oklahoma before moving over to Oklahoma. After college, he joined up with Phillips 66 in the AAU, playing four years with them. He played for the Detroit Falcons in the BAA, and then with St Louis before being traded to Baltimore. He got the head coach job for St Loios in 1948 and lead the team for two seasons before leaving to work for Converse, where he developed a low-cut basketball shoe that became the norm for many pro hoopsters in the 60's.

He and his wife Maxine had a son and a daugher.
