  1. He did recover fully from the broken neck. Thanks to the life guard at the seen of the local pool that immobilized his neck in sand till the ambulance came. He married, moved to California and worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Los Angeles. He is survived by three daughters, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was active in Boys Scouts of America and coached his youngest daughter (me) in Bobby Sox softball.

  2. I discovered that Ebaugh attended Superior High School in Superior, NE - class of 1932. See http://spx.stparchive.com/Archive/SPX/SPX05232002P04.php (the newspaper sub-headline that says "Superior High School"). I wonder what he did between graduating in 1932 and beginning at the University of Nebraska in 1935?

  3. I updated the info. He did play freshman basketball at Nebraska, so that was added, so the musters is now only a two year gap between high school and college. (I also added a photo I found.) Thank you for your info!
